More than 30,000 people have now signed up to LabourList’s unique daily email bulletin.
The blog, which is independent of the party but always backs Labour, hit the milestone shortly before the general election.
It represents another step forward for LabourList, which was set up in 2009, and comes after a series of huge political news events over the past two years, including two general elections, Labour leadership contests in 2015 (above) and 2016 and the EU referendum.
The increase in the size of the email list is testament to the hard work of previous editors, including Mark Ferguson and Alex Smith, as well as current and former staff writers Emma Bean, Conor Pope, Sarah Pine and Maya Goodfellow.
More people are reading LabourList’s daily email for its mix of news on the party’s policies and personalities, as well as scoops on selection contests and op-eds from across the party, ranging from shadow cabinet members to backbench MPs, members of the Scottish and Welsh parliaments, councillors and, of course, grassroots activists.
This success could not have been achieved without the help of regular columnists such as Luke Akehurst, Alice Perry and a host of other writers, as well as support from trade union backers Unite and Unison, and our readers.
