The party have today released their party election broadcast ahead of the local elections. It places Ed Miliband front and centre, and appears to be part of a much longer campaign by Ed’s team to explain who he is and where he is coming from. It’s evocative in some ways of “Kinnock the movie“. Although the mood of the video couldn’t be described as upbeat, it’s much more positive that anything the party has produced recently – not least because it doesn’t mention the government, cuts or the economy once.
