Party HQ confirm that their Falkirk report won’t be made public

In his speech this afternoon, Unite General Secretary Len McCluskey repeated his call for the Labour Party to release their report into the contentious Falkirk selection.

This afternoon, the Labour Party made it clear that won’t happen, with a senior Labour source reiterating to LabourList that the report will not be made public.

McCluskey also repeated his call for an “independent inquiry” into the events around the Falkirk selection, when we asked the same senior party figure if that was likely, we were told:

“There is an independent inquiry – by the police.”

The party aren’t budging on Falkirk – but it doesn’t look like Unite are backing down either. This row isn’t over yet by any means…
