‘Certainly, we no longer live in a world where you just identify people as Labour, then tell them when there’s an election and they turn out. We now have an extra stage in the middle, between having identified them and asking them to vote for us, in which we build a relationship with them. This can only take place during the years between elections, not during the few weeks of the campaign.’ Sion Simon

WUNCH OF BANKERS!
The government signals bonuses will be banned for banks with government shares.
At the lobby briefing this morning the PM’s spokesperson said “The Prime Minister had made clear that any future bonuses had to be guided by; long-term interests; no bonuses for failure; a clawback system; and new guidelines for the future. They are the key points but obviously we need to discuss them with the management of the banks”.
