At a meeting with Labour bloggers yesterday Ed Milliband told Left Foot Foward‘s Will Straw that “the manifesto is still being written” and “there’s still a chance to influence it” through Labour’s increasingly influential web forums.
Both Guido Fawkes and Iain Dale have today questioned whether the left’s online presence is really improving, but this video shows that there are Labour politicians who understand the power and nature of the internet.
And I received an email from one of LabourList’s regular contributors today, asking if it was “LabourList wot won it” on phasing out hospital car parking charges in England – not to mention the National Care Service, expansion of childcare, shelving of compulsory ID cards and referendum on voting reform announced in Gordon Brown’s speech on Tuesday.
We’ll be taking the rest of the New Ideas to the party shortly, and campaigning for the inclusion of your top 5 in the manifesto.
