“Anyone who thought MPs had already endured the worst was wrong”, says Andrew Sparrow, who’s following the new expenses revelations today.
And although the Legg Commission cost more money than the £1.1 million of expenses repayments that its findings will demand – and Sir Paul Kennedy has his doubts about the scupulousness of the new demands – there are indeed a swathe of new claims for people to be angry at.
