New poll reveals unpopularity of ‘free schools’ policy

A poll conducted by Politics Home into public opinion of twenty two key measures from the Queen’s Speech has revealed that voters are ‘unconvinced by free schools policy’, with just 14 per cent net approval.

Plans to part-privatise Royal Mail proved to be the most rejected measure with a net approval rate of -14 per cent.

Maintenance of Britain’s nuclear deterrent gained an average approval rating of 30 per cent, whilst fixed-term 5 year Parliaments received 35 per cent popularity.

The most approved measures were the restoration of pensions link to earnings in April 2011 with 76 per cent popularity, and the power for voters to “recall” errant MPs with 74 per cent popularity.
