Nick Clegg took a break from discussions with the Tories today to address a rally of supporters pushing for proportional representation. As protesters chanted to Clegg “Don’t sell out”, Clegg said:
“Proportional representation…is a topic which traditionally only concerns only a small number of academics and constitutional experts. The fact that you are out on the streets of London now because you care so much about political reform is absolutely wonderful…I take your petition in the sprit in which I’m sure you meant to deliver it — in the spirit of change.”
