The #lab10bestbits

By Mark Ferguson / @markfergusonuk

We’ve been asking our twitter followers for their best bits of Labour Party conference this afternoon, using the twitter hashtag #lab10bestbits. We’ve had some great stories, ideas and messages – thank you to everyone who sent them in – they certainly entertained (and in some cases inspired) me on the train journey home.

Below I’ve posted some of the best responses so far – but keep on sending them in, as we’ll be updating this list over the next few days with more of the best ones:

DenyseNante: The announcement that Ed won – couldn’t be happier

anthonypainter: Carrying a conversation for 20 mins with Eddie Izzard before making a prat of myself with a really crap attempt at satire.

Christophe_Read: The fantastic warm response of Yorks & Humber reception to Doncaster’s adopted son Ed Miliband on sunday

austinjfisher: EdM telling the press to grow up. About time someone said it.

samgoodby: @StephenTwigg dancing to the Smiths at the NOLS Disco, @edballsmp dancing at the Unite reception.

benfolley: the Ed Balls party – Ed singing Mr Brightside, Yvette leading the Internationale and Billy Hayes on the dancefloor…

wesstreeting: Playing Vampire Weekend and Kings of Leon for leader’s speech and consigning the Lighthouse Family to the dustbin of history

MitchellAT: @andyburnhammp‘s brilliant speech telling Cameron to prepare for the ‘fight of his life’ over the N in NHS£

CHazelgrove: Finally meeting so many people I’ve been speaking with for months!

CllrVickyMD: missing the leader’s speech, only to run into him as he left the hall & get a handshake AND the lovely hug I got from Andy B
