The Lib Dems have been humiliated. Beaten into the ground. They took a thumping on Thursday and they’ll face more in the months and years ahead.The Tories however were able to survive almost unscathed. Clegg’s broken promises on tuition fees, VAT and the economy were crucial. Yet Cameron’s broken promises have been ignored.
It’s time to refocus our attacks, and remind the electorate that it wasn’t just Clegg who took the electorate for fools.
Today there’s an opposition debate on the NHS. GPs are in open revolt. Nurses want the health secretary to go. So it seems right to focus on one of Cameron’s biggest whoppers – that there would be no more top down re-organisations of the NHS.
