There’s a fascinating quote from Chris Huhne in the forthcoming October issue of Prospect magazine, published on September 22nd, which seems to betray the environment secretary’s desire to assume the Lib Dem leadership.

I’ve written before about the not so subtle leadership ambitions of Chris “Hiding” Huhne, but this time he appears to have come out into the open, saying that Nick Clegg would make “a tremendous (EU) commissioner.” This follows recent speculation – especially in light of the boundary review – that Nick Clegg could step aside and head to Brussells instead of fighting to stay in parliament in 2015.
