It’s all change in the world of Labour movement campaign groups at the moment. After Co-op Party General Secretary Michael Stephenson announced that he was leaving earlier this week, Compass General Secretary Gavin Hayes has announced that he’s doing likewise. In a statement today, Hayes said:
“Today, after eight fantastic years, I am sad to announce that at the end of April I will be leaving Compass and thus will no longer serve as General Secretary. I need new challenges and Compass needs new people. I am incredibly proud of the achievements of Compass, our members and supporters.”
Compass will now be hiring a “National Coordinator” – details of which can be seen here.
