This week has been one of intense speculation over the way the Labour Party is run, but as Emma Burnell pointed out yesterday – it’s the members that make the party.
Today on LabourList is about celebrating some of the fantastic diversity we have in our membership, and the Socialist Societies that operate within it. Today is about celebrating the work of those Socialist Socieites, and – perhaps – giving you an insight into a few of them that you knew little about, or didn’t even know existed.
Whether its those who are representing LGBT members of our party, or those who are passionate about housing or health, the Christian Socialist Movement and their passion for faith movements or the legal eagles of Labour Lawyers – all have an important part to play in our party, and all bring something special and unique to the table. And they all have a big role to play in building a party fit for the 21st century.
Today is Socialist Societies Day – I hope you enjoy it.
