George Osborne may be preaching financial restraint at a national level, but it seems that an organisation close to his heart is short of cash. Manchester Eveming News reports:
“Chancellor George Osborne is trying to steer the country through one of the worst financial crises in history.
But his help maybe needed a little closer to home – after it emerged the Conservative Club at the heart of his Cheshire constituency is under threat because of a lack of funds.
Knutsford Conservative Club is in a building that is also home to Tatton MP George Osborne’s constituency office.”
There’s no news on whether or not they ‘failed to fix the roof while the sun was shining’, but presumably the poor state of the economy hasn’t helped their plight…
