As Lib Dem conference ends today, attention begins to turn to Labour conference in Manchester. We’ll be bringing you coverage from there from Saturday all the way through to Thursday – but in addition to that we’re also running and supporting a few events which we’d be delighted to see you at – ranging from serious policy to daft karaoke, hopefully there’s something for every one of our reader’s who are in Manchester next week. Here are the details:
Monday – LabourList Karaoke (in conjunction with the Socialist Societies)
Time: Monday October 1st, 8pm until late
Venue: Rain Bar, 80 Great Bridgewater Street (5 mins walk from secure zone)
Entrance £10 (concessions £5)
Join us for an evening of Socialism and singing to raise money in support of LabourList. Take part in our auction – and win the chance to sing with special guests including Ian Austin MP, Michael Dugher MP, Owen Jones and Tom Watson MP. Labour Party Members only – no press passes. Wednesday – Live Q&A Session with Jon Cruddas – “How can Labour work better for working people?” (in conjunction with Unite)
Time: Wednesday October 3rd, 4.30-5.15pm
Venue: Lord Mayor’s Parlour, Manchester Town Hall (just outside the secure zone)
Entrance: Free
A chance to discuss the key policy issues from conference and beyond with Labour’s policy chief Jon Cruddas. We’ll be taking questions online and in the room and putting them to the man in charge of making sure Labour’s 2015 manifesto is one that can return the party to government.
