Why is the Tory candidate for Corby so shy about her role in rail privatisation?

Earlier today I noted that the Tory candidate for Corby and East Northamptonshire seemed to be having difficulty remembering the name of the place she was standing in – confusing it with an area 130 miles away. Not a great start for a “local” candidate.

Yet it seems that in the same press release, she omitted to mention a crucial piece of information about Christine Emmett’s professional experience.

Curiously the press release omits to mention her role in rail privatisation, despite it appearing prominently on her own website:

Perhaps that’s because Corby and East Northamptonshire has a substantial number of commuters who are getting hit with rising rail fares? Do even the Tory Party now acknowledge that rail privatisation was a disaster for passengers?
