Launch tomorrow – One Nation Labour: Debating the future

Tomorrow (Tuesday, January 15th) we’ll be publishing Jon Cruddas’s pamphlet “One Nation Labour: Debating the future” which will bring together a wide range of potential ideas which could  make up Labour’s next manifesto. You’ll be able to download it directly from LabourList.

We’ll also be hosting a launch debate tomorrow night in Parliament as part of Labour’s Policy Review – if you want to attend, please email [email protected].

One of the speakers tomorrow night is John Denham, who told us:

“The idea of One Nation suggests much more than a choice between different political parties; it suggests we want to tell a story about what we want our country to become. That’s not the story story of any old country but our own – Britain and its nations – so One Nation will require us to tell a progressive, patriotic story of who we were and who we can be.”

Here are the details of the launch event:

One Nation Labour – debating the future
Time : Tuesday 15 January 6-7.30pm
Venue: House of Commons, Committee room 10
Speakers: Maurice Glasman (Labour peer), Hilary Cottam (Participle), John Denham MP
Chair: Jon Cruddas MP

The launch will be followed by a drinks event for LabourList readers at the Westminster Arms.
