You know how political types pretend to be normal by writing about what they realised when they were at the football/ walking the dog/ watching Coronation Street?
This one is real.
Earlier this month I joined the LabourList Grassroots Programme because I realised how rubbish it would be to watch the #reshuffle without LabourList. Because when you want to know what’s really happening at the top of the Labour Party, where else would you go?
Not the politicians who all have skin in the game, or the commentators with their not-so-subtle axes to grind, but here – to OUR bloggers on OUR site.
Because LabourList is more than a website – it’s the campfire of our community and if we want to keep having a place to gather and tell our tales, we need to pitch in.

I know that there’s not much money to go round at the moment, but if you can possibly spare just £1 a week it will help determine whether we’ve got a vibrant, plural, grassroots Labour voice, or whether online politicos are all folk from the right or who #tweetlikeanMP.
If you think that sounds pretty rotten, please join up now: we can keep the online left loud, proud and afloat.
