Following Ed Miliband’s speech this morning, in which he said:
“unlike the Tories, what we will never do is try to out-UKIP UKIP. I think it is time we levelled with people about UKIP. They’ve got away with it for too long. It is time we had a debate about where they really stand.”
Nigel Farage has unsurprisingly taken talk of a “debate” literally, and responded this afternoon by challenging Miliband to a live debate, in a letter he tweeted this afternoon, along with the message “come and have a go”. Here’s the letter, which suggests Farage may be the last person in the country to still use a typewriter (that sounds about right) – click on the image to expand:
Update: Here’s Miliband’s response:
.@Nigel_Farage Bring it on. I look forward to a debate with you, @David_Cameron and @Nick_Clegg in the election campaign.
