Weekly survey: general election result, coalition or minority government, and shadow cabinet rankings

have your say ll

With the general election less than 6 months away, and the Tories and Labour so close in the polls, we want to know what you think will happen in May.

Do you think that there’ll be a Tory majority or do you think Labour will swing it in their favour? Or, do you think neither party will manage to get a majority? Let us know your views.

In this vein, there’s been much talk about what the government could look like if no party wins the election outright. If Labour do better than the Tories but fail to get a majority, what do you think Miliband and the rest of the Labour leadership team should do? Do you think they should go into coalition with the Lib Dems, Ukip (as Nigel Farage implied he would be willing to do last week), the Greens, the SNP, or form another coalition arrangement. Or do you think they should forget about forming a coalition altogether and instead form a minority government and rely on other parties for key votes? Have your say here.

There has been much speculation around Ed Miliband’s leadership in recent weeks – while the spotlight has been shone on him so brightly, many, including Mark Ferguson, have argued for getting more of his frontbenchers out into the public eye. With this in mind, we realised it’s been a while since we’d asked you what you thought of each member of the shadow cabinet (and from your responses we’ll be able to create a shadow cabinet ranking system) – and that we haven’t asked your thoughts since the minor reshuffle following Jim Murphy’s resignation.

So tell us do you think of each of the members of the shadow cabinet? Are they doing positively, negatively, or just neutral? Tell us what you think.

LabourList’s weekly survey will be open until Noon on Thursday. You can vote here.
