Weekly survey: Trident, the SNP and Shadow Cabinet rankings

have your say ll (long)

Last week, a survey from CND found that 75% of Labour PPCs they asked wanted to get rid of Trident. Trident is due to expire in However, it was agreed at Labour’s National Policy Forum that Labour is “committed to a minimum, credible independent nuclear deterrent, delivered through a Continuous At-Sea Deterrent”.

The decision over Trident’s replacement is going to be made in 2016 (if it’s agreed upon the new nuclear deterrent would replace Trident in 2028). We want to know what you think about this. Do you think Trident should be scrapped? Or are you in favour of a replacement? Let us know your thoughts.

It’s looking increasingly unlikely that any party will win a majority in May and if the SNP do as well as predicted in May, it could be that Labour would need them to form some kind of government. Although Miliband has ruled this out, what do you think? Would you like Labour to rule out any kind of deal with the SNP? Would you like to keep all options open? Or would you like to see Miliband rule out a coalition?

And finally, for one of our four rolling questions. This week, it’s shadow cabinet rankings. With the election so close, how do you think each member of the shadow cabinet is doing? You can rate them on a scale of 1-5. Tell us what you think, here.

The survey will close at noon on Thursday. You can vote here.
