Stella Creasy doesn’t rule out running to be Deputy Leader

Yesterday Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, said she’d consider running to be Deputy Leader of the Labour Party.

Creasy appeared on Newsnight alongside Neal Lawson from Compass to discuss what went wrong for Labour during the past 5 years and what needed to change.

Inevitably the topic of the leadership came up. Creasy ruled out running to be leader. But when interviewer Evan Davis asked her whether she will run for Deputy Leader, she said that she was “open to the question.”

So far Tom Watson, who’s already launched a crowd funding page “Tom Watson 4 Deputy Leader“, looks like he’s going to be in the running. Other potential candidates include Angela Eagle, Caroline Flint and Simon Danczuk.
