Weekly survey: Child tax credits, The Sun and the Lib Dems

have your say ll (long)

A row has broken out in the Labour party over whether they should back the Government’s plans to implement a benefit cap, which would include limiting tax credits for people with three of more children. What do you think? Should Labour support or oppose this policy?

It was reported that leadership contender, Andy Burnham, said he wouldn’t do an interview with the Sun. As we have shown, this isn’t true – Burnham said he wouldn’t do “special favours for newspapers that attack me and attack my party.” But what do you think? Should Labour’s next leader rule out doing an interview with The Sun? Or should they keep all of their options open?

Later this week it’s all change for the Liberal Democrats, with the party about to elect a new leader. We want to know if you think Labour work with the Lib Dems on issues where the parties have overlap? Or do you think they should rule that out altogether? Tell us what you think here.

Along with our regular survey we would also like your help with a weekly Q&A for the leadership candidates. Throughout the election we would like to put your questions to them about the big issues facing Britain: education, health, welfare, immigration, taxation, housing, Scotland and devolution, and Europe and the world.

This week it’s immigration and we would like you to submit your questions here or via Twitter using the hashtag #LabourListQ&A. Even if your question doesn’t fit into any of our categories we would still like to hear from you.

Our survey closes at 12pm on Thursday. You can vote here.
