Kate Osamor and Clive Lewis both became Shadow Cabinet ministers this summer after being elected for the first time in 2015, and both are being tipped for big things in the future.
Osamor was handed the role of International Development in this summer’s reshuffle, while former army man Lewis was promoted to the Shadow Defence brief.
In the latest in a series of videos produced by Labour to help people know more about the Shadow Cabinet, Osamor and Lewis talk candidly about their lives before entering Parliament and their favourite parts of the job.
Osamor, the MP for Edmonton, speaks about how spending time living on benefits helps her to better understand her constituents, while Lewis reflects how leadership skills can translate from the armed forces into politics.
