With the question of Labour’s leadership resolved, attention turns again to the party’s top team. Following a series of resignations in the summer, some in the Shadow Cabinet have had to take up a number of roles simultaneously, and a reshuffle is now widely expected.
But should Jeremy Corbyn reach out and offer jobs to those who resigned in the summer?
How the leader selects his top team is also up for debate, with deputy leader Tom Watson putting forward plans for a return of Shadow Cabinet elections, whereby MPs vote for who goes forward and Corbyn can select which jobs they get.
Should Labour MPs regain the right to vote on who joins the shadow Cabinet?
The electoral prospects of the Labour Party were central to the debate in this summer’s leadership contest while Corbyn last week told members to prepare for a general election next year.
