LabourList exists to provide an independent forum for all issues associated with the Labour Party and the wider Labour movement.

We could not exist without the generous support of individual donors, sponsors and advertisers. This enables us to provide our staff with a proper salary and working conditions.

We are proudly and fiercely independent. Our editorial is entirely independent of our funding. To that end:

  • Donors and advertisers have no control over editorial content
  • Advertising and sponsored content are always clearly labelled

In addition, we need to ensure the long-term financial viability of the site, and we accept donations, advertising and sponsorship on the following basis:

  • Donations will be accepted from our readers. There is no maximum or minimum donation size – all that we ask is that donors support our work without interference.
  • Advertising and sponsored content may be accepted from any individual or organisation which is not deemed grossly offensive and our acceptance of this absolutely does not imply our agreement or endorsement of any views of advertisers or sponsors.

We welcome democratic debate and believe that a plurality of views – even where we may disagree – may contribute to the debate.

As well as providing the website, we also organise conferences, debates and other events and these conditions apply equally across all of our activities.

We provide our content free, but providing daily Labour news, comment and analysis costs money. Small monthly donations from readers like you keep us going. To those already donating: thank you.

If you can afford it, can you join our supporters giving £10 a month?

And if you’re not already reading the best daily round-up of Labour news, analysis and comment…
