Today it was announced that the number of people unemployed in the UK has risen by 80,000. Fortunately Tory minister Grant Shapps was on hand to share their pain on the Daily Politics today – saying that MPs were feeling the “very difficult process” of unemployment this week:
“So there is… you know government is complex and there are lots of interrelated facts but the unemployment figures today to return to that subject were you know not what you would want to see, and for everybody who has been experiencing that, you know, along with the MPs this week have been experiencing the thought of it as well, it is a very, very difficult process.”
A bit insensitive, isn’t it?
