UPDATE: Caroline Flint said she would remain in the government and support the leader to focus on economic recovery.
Europe Minister Caroline Flint has apparently recorded an interview to be aired after close of polls at 10pm tonight. Paul Waugh is reporting that Flint will come out in support of the PM. Earlier, the Evening Standard said one Minister had urged Gordon Brown to pre-emptively sack Flint after rumours spread that she was about to step down.
So, the end of the plot? Or the quiet before the storm?
