* Economist David Blanchflower says that the budget “killed recovery at birth”, in an article for the New Statesman.

* Left Foot Forward analyses the IFS data and finds the truth about the “progressive” budget.

* The Labor Party ditched an unpopular PM mid-term to stave off electoral defeat…..in Australia.

* And a former Labour minister tried to avoid a driving ban by claiming “hardship”.
