He was judged to be telling the truth when he both denied knowingly submitted parliamentary expense claims outside the rules and discussing with colleagues whether Ed Miliband was right to lead the party.
But he admitted being offered kickbacks of between £50 and £200 “about 10 times”. He never accepted them.”
