Are SNP councillors masquerading as “Labour for Independence” members?

The Scottish Independence referendum was always going to get dirty, but things have certainly escalated – with some SNP members seemingly masquerading as Labour Party members in an attempt to bamboozle voters into thinking that there are a group of Labour supporters campaigning for independence, as picked up on by Think Scotland and then Guido.

“Labour for Independence” (who appear to consist of just one Labour member, with leaflets being handed out by SNP members, amongst others, have claimed that the photo picked up on by Think Scotland and Guido gives an unfair impression.

It’s a good job there isn’t another photo circulating where the “Labour for Independence” banner is being held by a load of SNP members, isn’t it? Oh…

Labour for Independence. It’s clear they want Scotland to break away from the rest of Britain, but Labour? Not so much…
