Last week on Question Time, Tessa Jowell claimed that David Cameron had been for more fundraising dinners with people called Michael than he had with women. Today the Mirror have dug out the numbers, and they’re startling.
In total, Cameron entertained 61 people at the Conservative Leaders Group dinners last year. Of that number, 58 were men – only three were women:
But what about the claim that Cameron has met more people called Michael at these dinners than women? Well it’s not just Michael – it’s David and John too:
And the membership cost for the Conservative Leaders Group dinner group? A tasty £50,000.
