UKIP’s group in the European Parliament – the Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy group (EFDD) – has been dissolved today. Latvian MEP Iveta Grigule left the group today, which means the EFDD no longer have members from at least 7 countries. That’s the minimum number of countries a group in the EU Parliament must be comprised of, so the EFDD have been declared dissolved today.

That means Nigel Farage (as one of the group’s co-chairs) will lose his privileges as head of a group in the EU Parliament. What a shame eh?
