
As we reported last time, a swing of this level could see Lib Dem MPs Lynne Featherstone and Simon Hughes lose their London constituencies – but the remaining Lib Dem voters could be concentrated in places where they already have MPs.
Sadiq Khan, Labour’s Shadow London Minister, said that positive polls would not mean the party would let up on campaigning in the coming weeks:
“This is promising news, but the only poll that matters is on May 7th. We are 100% focused on persuading Londoners that only Labour will fix the housing crisis in the capital. We won’t rest from our door-to-door, street-by-street campaigning until 10pm on May 7th.“
