With Labour’s Leader, Deputy Leader, and London mayoral candidate spots to be filled there’s a lot of speculation over who might stand for each position.
One of the potential candidates for the Deputy Leader role was Rochdale MP Simon Danczuk. It was reported that he had been approached by a ‘several colleagues’ who urged him to add his name to the mix.
But he’s now announced that he won’t be standing. Danczuk, who was first elected to be an MP in 2010, has said that “it’s come a bit too early for me”.
