Weekly survey: British army and airstrikes

The role of the British army in the world is an issue that’s likely to be debated in the Labour party in the coming months. We are your thoughts on the subject?

The British army is currently deployed in over 80 countries around the world. Do you think Britain should continue to deploy its armed forces overseas? Are you for or against this? Or are you unsure? Tell us what you think here.

The RAF is currently taking part in airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq. This was decided after a vote in Parliament last year. Though Labour leader at the time Ed Miliband supported this, the party’s new leader Jeremy Corbyn voted against these plans. What do you think? Do you support this use of British armed forced? Or do you think they shouldn’t be involved? Have your say.

And what about Britain’s role in Syria? The Government said at the weekend that they are “cautiously optimistic” that enough MPs will support military action against ISIS in Syria. However, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has voiced his opposition to this. What are your thoughts? Do you think the RAF should extend its bombing campaign to Syria?  Or are you opposed to this?
