Labour’s Jo Platt has just been elected as the new MP for Leigh and Atherton.

Members in Leigh and Atherton picked former MP Jo Platt to be their parliamentary candidate. Platt represented Leigh from 2017 to 2019, before losing her seat to Conservative candidate James Grundy by 1,965 votes.
