Peter Mandelson will this morning outline Labour’s priorities for a new government and say that the party will focus on “wise spending, not big spending” to help reduce the defecit.
In the speech to Progress, he will contrast Labour’s approach with the Tories’ “slash and burn ideological zeal”, with “deep, savage, indiscriminate across-the-board spending cuts.”
