Remember the National Bullying Helpline?

Remember the National Bullying Hotline? They rose to prominence last year after chief executive Christine Pratt claimed it had received calls from Downing Street staff seeking help over alleged bullying at work. Downing Street denied the “malicious accusations”, and trustees, including Ann Widdicombe, resigned from the charity.

Adam Bienkov wrote an excellent article last year which looked into the background of the charity – including a personal endorsement from Conservative leader David Cameron – and began a chain reaction that saw them come under increased scrutiny.

The Press Association is reporting tonight that they’ve closed.

There will be few tears shed for the organisation in the Labour Party.
