“I pledge not to appear on an all-male panel,” say male Labour figures

Last week on this website, Kirstin Hay named and shamed the 34 all-male panels at Labour conference 2013. This week, she’s hoping to do the same for the Tories.

So Kirstin and Labour Women’s Network set out to campaign against all-male panels at Conference. Some male Labour MPs, like Sadiq Khan, didn’t want to be seen dead holding a pledge placard in case they actually were speaking at an all-male panel. But plenty of other male Labour politicians came on board:
