This morning’s papers are full of stories about Cameron apparently saying “get rid of all the green crap” – which is quite a change from “Vote Blue Go Green”. Understandably some Tory MPs are perplexed at this sudden screeching u-turn, and have taken to the tea room – and Twitter – to voice their disgruntlement. In particular, green Tory Zac Goldsmith (who has already thrown a Twitter tantrum about Cameron’s green u-turn lately), has reported fears that cameron doesn’t believe in anything, saying:
“If the PM can casually drop something that was so central to his identity, he can drop anything.” – tea room Tory chat #greencrap
