The Falkirk selection (including delays and suspensions) has been ongoing for most of 2013. It’s undoubtedly the most controversial selection that the party has held for many years – culminating in investigations, internal reports, police investigations, a huge amount of press coverage and a plan to reshape Labour’s link with the Trade Unions.
At long last though, the selection process is about to come to an end – and within the next few weeks. Last week’s NEC meeting confirmed that the selection timetable for Falkirk will be as follows:
Long-listing – 23rd November
Short-listing – 26th November
Selection – 8th December
The panel for the selection will be made up of 2 reps each from the NEC and the SEC and one rep from the constituency itself.
